We all remember the debate, I watched a clip of it recently, in response to a youtube question Obama said he would meet with the leaders of Iran, North Korea, Cuba & Syria in the first year of his admininstration.

Recently, the Obama campaign has begun backing away from such talk, nuancing for the sake of not appearing naive to the Jewish voters about Iran, a nation who he also distained recently as comprising a puny threat.

So, the campaign starts up & the first salvo comes about Nazis marching into Poland and Obama backing away from his previous position.

the outpouring of sympathy to senator kennedy is expected, and shared by me.

however, the lubricating bodily fluids being exuded, well, the contrast to the comments and behavior of the strongly obama favoring liberal blogoshpere as opposed to the venom and vileness directed at the clintons, and in part to those of us who supported hillary, it is striking.

While Senator McCain was being rough in linking Hamas to Senator Obama, the jibe from Obama about one losing his bearings, this is a rather obvious dig at the age of McCain.

Oh, yes, our hip Senator Obama the quick witted one, take a shot a man's age, inference clear those 70 year old types might just wander out of the White House sometime and hit the nuclear button trying to open a window.

I am just itching to see the ridiculing of McCain's dottering old self as the campaign continues.

ok, its clear, the democrats have decided that they do indeed owe the nomination to Obama...he has run a good campaign & the handwriting is on the wall for the Democrats.

but, this will leave us a choice between four more years of Bush, but with a candidate, McCain, that is a decent sort of guy, and experienced, as opposed to Obama, who is clearly having to dance off the ropes repeatedly with speeches overshadowing his odd aquaintances.

this seems to leave a lot of people disinfranchised, like me, I want experience, a tough skin borne of battle in the trenches as well as some liberal social policies and moderate fiscal policies.

you would think it never happened, almost. the fools, knaves, liars & thugs that pimped the idea of racial and class slurs were just the way the clintons thought and spoke.

you look and there is little evidence that people were ready, willing & able to engage in mindless thugery in the name of hope and change of tone of politics.

oh the righteous indignation and guffawing by the right wing creeps towards this silly clinton mccain idea of a gas tax holiday...in this merriment are many so called progressives who sniff about how insignificant this measly amount of money is, how its a ruse, oh, yes, easy to mock and minimalize, which is what many of you progressives here are doing, the struggling blue collar workers, as a whole.

i recognize that many young working class peeps are for obama, as is my son, who lives on his own and he and his girlfriend are finding it tough nowadays...but he does yearn for change, i can understand that, and him being my spawn, well, i expect him to have a mind of his own, and he does....but most blue collar middle aged voters are not so sold on this change being offered.

while it might not be fiscally tidy, while it might be sneered at by folks who drive tanks posing as highway motor vehicles, drinking $5 coffee, the impact of gas, food, medical costs are killing lower class families.

interesting that what very well might be an astoundingly ineffectual, inept, sloppy & stupid group may have unwittingly..and i do mean unwittingly, screwed around with the election processes and rules
