A new KATU/SUSA poll has Oregon Senate candidate Jeff Merkley ahead of Republican Gordon Smith 46-41. The last SUSA poll taken from September had Merkley up 44-42, which was within the MOE. Progressive Democrat Jeff Merkley clearly has the momentum going into the final weeks of the campaign. This does NOT mean we can let up on this race, not even for a second. It's more important than ever that we rally behind Jeff and make sure that we have a progressive voice representing all of us in the Senate.
Ballots Drop in 5 Days!!!
Oregon is a vote by mail state and this FRIDAY ballots will be dropping all across the state. The next few weeks are critical to ensuring a strong-willed progressive Democrat is elected to the Senate. We need volunteers calling Oregon families to help spread the message about Merkley. We need volunteers to hit the streets for Merkley to talk face to face to voters about how critical this race is. Please consider volunteering for Jeff. We need your voice and your energy! There are offices all across the state, so if you live in or near any of these towns, we'd love to have your help.

We released a new ad!
Jeff Merkley has been an amazing advocate on veterans issues here in Oregon. Merkley fought to pass a bill which provided college education to family members of the fallen which he has pledged to fight for at the federal level. He also pushed through a bill that provided additional financial aid to veterans and passed a personal tax exemption to more National Guards members. Merkley also passed a bill creating incentives for employers to hire veterans. Merkley passed tax incentives for health care providers who participate in the TRICARE program. Merkley is committed to ending the war in Iraq as the next Senator from Oregon and will fight to make sure veterans are taken care of once they return home.
Help Us Stay on the Air
Republican Gordon Smith has millions COH and can afford to air ad after ad. We need to stay on the air in these final weeks to help keep the momentum behind Merkley. Please consider donating to Merkley via the MYDD's Road to 60 Act Blue page.
